ISTs provide Federal, State, and local officials with technical assistance in the acquisition and utilization of ESF 9 resources through advice, incident command assistance, management and coordination of US&R task forces, and obtaining ESF #9 logistic support. ISTs are self-sufficient and mobilize within 2 hours of a request. |
